Detailed History of Shree Beera Barjee Mandir

Shree Beera Barjee Mandir, Fatehpur, Rajasthan, is an ancient and revered Kuldevi temple of the Goenka community. According to the temple's traditional historical records, the temple was established in Vikram Samvat 1665, corresponding to 1608 CE, and is dedicated to the revered Shree Beera Dadiji, Shree Barjee Dadiji and Shree Barjal Dadiji, who are worshipped as Kuldevis by Goenka families across generations.

1280 CE • V.S. 1337

Shree Beera Dadiji

Born on Sharad Purnima at Taranagar, Rajasthan. Married Shri Mangalram Goenka ji of Bapura, near Hisar, in V.S. 1353. Revered as one of the principal Kuldevis of the Goenka community.

1567 CE • V.S. 1624

Shree Barjee Dadiji

Born on Chaitra Shukla Navami at Sikar, Rajasthan. Married Shri Nandram Goenka ji of Fatehpur in V.S. 1645, after the passing of his first wife, Shree Barjal Dadiji.

Kuldevi Tradition

Shree Barjal Dadiji

Revered as part of the same Kuldevi tradition, associated with the Goenka family history of Fatehpur preceding Shree Barjee Dadiji. Together, the three are worshipped as the Beera Barjee Dadijis.

The Establishment of the Fatehpur Temple

According to the temple's official history, Shree Barjee Dadiji became "Jyotirgmaya" in V.S. 1665, and Shree Beera Barjee Mandir at Fatehpur came up in the same year — 1608 CE, more than four centuries ago. The temple is located on NH 11 in Fatehpur, near the Fatehpur-Shekhawati railway station.

Meaning of Kuldevi

Kuldevi refers to the traditional goddess or divine protector associated with a family lineage (kul). For the Goenka community, the tradition connects generations through Family → Ancestry → Tradition → Faith → Community, especially during births, marriages and other important samskaras.

A Centre of Community Heritage

Beyond worship, the temple is associated with sevas such as Phal Bhog, Akhand Jyoti, Doodh Bhog, Mishthan Bhog, Pushp Shringar, Meva Bhog, Panch Meva Bhog and Kabutar Dana Bhog, along with accommodation facilities for visiting pilgrims and devotees.

The Goenka Diaspora

Over generations, Goenka families moved from Rajasthan across India and around the world. Despite this spread, Fatehpur remains an ancestral spiritual home, where members return to reconnect with their Kuldevi and remember their forefathers.
